OUTGROWN YOUR SITE?
LET’S LOOK AHEAD.
Keep the useful thinking. Plan what needs to change.
Replacing a Wix business website
If your Wix website no longer fits your business, we can assess a custom rebuild. This means recreating an agreed marketing website on a different stack, with a plan for content, URLs and essential functionality. It is not a one-click export of your Wix site.
A reason to move.
Start with the problem, not the platform.
If you like editing in Wix and your current site meets your needs, improving it may be the right choice. A rebuild becomes a more useful conversation when your content, design or working arrangement needs a broader rethink.
Explain what you want to do differently: present new services, make your work easier to assess or hand the ongoing upkeep to someone else. We can then assess the right approach and scope for the rebuild.

The Wix website and your domain are different things.
Wix explains that its sites rely on Wix’s infrastructure and cannot simply be hosted elsewhere. Your content and domain arrangements need to be reviewed separately from the site’s design and functionality.
Before agreeing a move, we inventory the material and features you use. The plan identifies what can be reused, what needs recreating and what falls outside the agreed build.

Pages and content.
List the existing URLs, copy, images, files and any blog archive. Check that you have the rights and original files needed for reuse.
Domain and email.
Confirm who manages your domain, where DNS is controlled and how email is connected. A website change should be planned around those services.
Forms and business tools.
Record forms, bookings, payments, automations and customer data. Rebuilding a marketing site does not automatically recreate these systems.
Search and measurement.
Record useful URLs and available search and analytics data. Agree redirects where pages move, then check the new site after launch.
One considered move.
Search rankings may change during a rebuild. Careful planning helps avoid preventable mistakes, but no migration can promise unchanged visibility.
Review the existing site.
Share your URL and the features you rely on. We assess the scope before discussing a start date.
Agree the new website.
Confirm the structure, content responsibilities, editing tools and functionality. Agree what will be recreated, replaced or left behind before the build starts.
Build before switching.
Prepare the new site separately. Review it across devices and check the agreed forms and content.
Launch and hand over.
Make the agreed domain changes, check redirects and key journeys, then complete training. Cancel old services only once their dependencies are understood.
A scope that fits.
A focused rebuild or a more involved move.
A straightforward marketing website may fit our $6,000 AUD + GST core scope. The page plan, content and required functionality determine suitability.
A substantial archive, bookings, payments, memberships or connected tools need closer assessment. We confirm what can be delivered before agreeing a bespoke scope.
